my disappointment was overturned by the surprising colors
adorning the edges of the pond...
the contrast of the red sumac against the dried yellow grasses....
The dried remains of the pond rise high and sharp...
at times, dipping gracefully to the ground...
attesting to the colorful brilliance of growing wild in the city.
